Type SL Shear

The Type SL Shear is designed for water injection, medium pressure range work and pumping wells. Full opening design eliminates injection or production restrictions and allows wireline equipment to pass through easily. Carburized slips with deep widespread wickers give you flexibility to set in heavy casing deposits. Stainless steel drag springs are standard.

The SL Shear should only be landed in tension. The automatic "J" allows release of the packer with no tubing rotation at surface. For emergency release the SL Shear has a built-in adjustable shear release system allowing full retrieval of the packer. The SL Shear has a safety release that separates the tubing from the packer should the shear release system not allow retrieval of the system.
